GAP Fields

The “Ghost and Psychic inhibiting field generator”, significantly shorted to the colloquial “GAP Field”, is a device that consumes electricity and generates a field that cannot be penetrated by ghost-type phasing or any kind of teleportation. This technology is utilized in a select few places on Prism Island, most notably jail cells, bank vaults, and high-security rooms in buildings. While useful to some extent, GAP Fields are by no means an ultimate security: There are Pokemorphs who can become paper-thin, gaseous, liquid, or simply punch their way through walls with brute force should they desire to be on the other side. They are, however, an effective assurance against simple supernatural intrusion, and as such are viewed as a bare minimum start for highly secure areas if other more esoteric means are not utilized.
